I find amidst the deepest pain,
Amidst affliction great;
A catalyst for certain growth,
And in that lonely state ….

Redemption flows in rivers deep,
And through the muck and mire;
I die to self, the dross removed,
Refined within the fire.

Though the eye cannot conceive,
The wisdom of the hand;
That moves the mighty heart of God,
Yet surely it will stand.

His perfect will, His perfect way,
His sovereign holy choice;
Shall lead the way and those shall heed,
That hear the Master’s voice.

The call within the hungry heart,
The thirst that none shall fill;
Til God be all and bind the soul,
To humbly do …. His will.

“He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.”
Psalm 40:2
