MAY 31 - Proverbs 31 and Luke 15:8-10

MAY 31 - PROVERBS 31:30 AND LUKE 15:8-10
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

"Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised."
Proverbs 31:30

and
"Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
Luke 15:8-10

Illustration with 31 - Take the #3, turn a quarter and create eyes and eyebrows (seeking). Utilize the #1 as a "stick woman" with curly hair and an extended arm holding a coin, and decidedly very happy. This illustration depicts the heart of a noble and good woman who is bent on her pursuit of God and adament in her quest of reaching the lost.

Searching, seeking woman of God ... You're beautiful!
The woman in this parable understands the value of what she possesses;
She knows when she's gained something, and she knows when she's lost something.
Upon the recognition of loss she employs a most earnest resolve to receive it back ... and God gives it to her.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF GOD IN A WOMAN'S LIFE.
The God fearing, God seeking, eternally motivated woman will find her course and direction through Christ and in Christ ...
And she will be praised of Christ when her time comes.
Rejoicing will be her "lot" in the Hall of Faith.
-----
Dear woman of God ...
Light a candle,
Sweep the house,
Seek diligently,
Love the one who's lost,
Beautifully.
Rejoicing will be yours ... for all eternity.
This is beauty.
------
Thy hand, Lord, has dealt wonderfully and mercifully with Thy servant.
Thy promises have been my delight and Thy greatness has attended to my weakness.
Thou hast seen my soul in all it's poverty,
Witnessed it in utter depravity,
Yet drawn it to Thyself ... so sweet, emphatically.
Thou who hast allured my soul, and captivated it by Thy silent beauty;
Watch over me.
Let the "Theme of the Redeemed"
Abound through me.
Thou art mine ... I'm holy Thine,
And Thou hast hold of me.
Precious Jesus, in Thy name, all praise to Thee.
Amen.

THREE SUGGESTIONS
1) Read the parable through 7 times ... and record 7 observations.
2) Pray for one lost individual and be heaven-bent on your pursuit of them.
3) Rejoice, along with Christ, when the lost are found.
Be the first ... to welcome them home.
