THESE HANDS THAT HOLD ME

THESE HANDS THAT HOLD ME
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

It's Thursday afternoon and my heart is overwhelmed by the gracious hand of God.
I turn aside, for just awhile, and allow myself to be taken in by Him.
This day,
This time,
This hour ...
Just undoes me.
Christ has overturned, overtaken, outdone, and once again, overcome,
My mortal frame with a sense of His great glory.
These hands that hold me ...
Supportive, strong, unflinching in their resolve to hold tight and never let me go.
These hands that hold me ...
Until my soul swells and softens,
Held by overwhelming grace;
And for a moment just a trace,
Of One who's holy.
Some days,
There's only praise ...
And adoration.

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
