A freedom gained,
Is a battle won;
Even if the war has left you,
Feeling wounded when you’re done.
The heart gets tired,
And the soul needs rest;
And the Healer comes to hold you,
In His arms you will be blessed.
And He holds you so securely,
He will never let you go;
There is nothing you could give Him,
He does not already know.

Let Him have you,
Yield to Him the deepest part;
You fought the war,
Just so He could have your heart.
The trumpet sounds,
And the cry redeemed;
Is ringing like an echo,
Stretched across the battle scene.
The victor shouts,
And a voice is heard;
There is triumph in the holy precious Lamb,
And in His Word.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course;
I have kept the faith.”
