I wasn't placed on earth,
To simply be a decoration;
But to be a certain voice,
And utter timely declaration:

The blessed news of Christ,
And sure salvation to the poor;
To sinners far and wide,
Who search and seek for something more.

Tis confidence in Jesus,
That allows me to confess;
That in "His" very name,
Is all the measure of success.

And in His truth I stand,
And in His power I declare,
His name shall be my theme,
And He shall take me everywhere.

Tis promised in Isaiah,
And confirmed inside of me;
His word, it shall go forth,
And He shall set the captive free.

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me; because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach the good tidings unto the meek, He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound."
Isaiah 61:1
