A LITTLE CAGE
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt
He placed me in a little cage,
Away from gardens fair;
But I must sing the sweetest song,
Because He placed me there.
Not beat my wings against the cage,
If it’s my Maker’s will;
But raise my voice to heaven’s gates,
And sing … the louder still.
Sometimes we arrive at a place in our lives that is painful, hard, and difficult.
It’s not the place we want to be;
Maybe it’s not even the place we ought to be....
But it’s still the place we find ourselves.
In this “confined” place….
God grows us,
In this hard place…
He changes us;
And we are not the same.
Thank God for hard places,
Confined spaces …
And a love that won’t let go.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
