AUGUST 16: ONE, TWO, THREE.

ONE, TWO, THREE
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

Marleen and Carly mutually assert "faith" as their highest priority.
Both women on a regular basis pray, read, and invest in spiritual disciplines and practices.
Both women openly speak to a belief in "God."
One would think that such a mutual spiritual commonality would foster a close fellowship and communion between the women.
But this is not what's happening.
On the contrary, Marleen and Carly are experiencing an extremely divisive relationship based on their "differences" in faith and not a bridge forming an alliance to it.
Carly puts forth a notable question:
Is there a danger in realizing both God and Allah as the same deity?
Hmmm ...
-------
Three retainable considerations will be put forth to the Reader for easy and memorable rehearsal.
1) Remember the number ONE:
There is only ONE God and only ONE Son.
God's only begotten son is Jesus Christ:
The essential necessity and Savior of man's lost soul.
*Allah has no begotten son.
------
2) Remember the number TWO:
Remember the simple expression;
It takes two ...
God's salvation is through His Son's finished work on the cross.
*Allah's salvation is through works alone.
------
3) Remember the number THREE:
Three for the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible is a story about redemption through Christ and the Spirit's indwelling and empowerment.
There is no Word of God apart from Him, and there is no Spirit indwelling apart from Him.
*The Koran is not the Bible, and it is not the written work or word of God.
*Allah is a solo, non-trinity false god.
------
ONE, TWO, THREE ...
Rehearse the facts with me.
Close your eyes and rehearse the distinguishing marks between God and Allah.
Familiarize yourself with the differences and not the likenesses.
If this simple memory "recall" doesn't assist you, come up with one of your own based on the signficant reality that JESUS CHRIST makes the difference in all three.
NUMBER FOUR ...
THEY'RE AIN'T NO MORE IF "HE'S" NOT IT.
-----
"Jesus saith unto Him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me."
-John 14:6
