"See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. To devise cunning works; to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass. And in cuttings of stones, to set them; and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. And I, behold, I have given him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all that are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee."
Exodus 31:2-6
God does not assign tasks without appointing gifts to men to accomplish the tasks.
Indeed, so wonderful and marvelous is God's lovingkindness and grace that He pre-appoints and pre-ordains each man a specific "gift" in order to display His glory through him and in order for an intimate bond to be established in the process of utilizing that gift.
"A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it; whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth."
Proverbs 17:8
Never has this precious passage meant more to me or been better understood than through and because of this "stone" study.
God be praised.
Bezaleel was called by name as a worker and "stone-maker" in the building of the Temple of God even as Jeremiah, Daniel, David, and Solomon were called by name and appointed positions and placements of their own.
Aholiab was called by name as a partner in "stone work" beside him and to share the burden of a large assignment with him.
What a glorious work was prepared and assigned these two men and how openly now our passage reveals itself:
"For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
Ephesians 3:10
God has appointed and anointed specific and special individuals with special assignments and tasks. He reserves and preserves each man with a unique and "set-apart" calling and He assigns the time in which the man will perform his labors just as He did Bezaleel and Aholiab.
None can remove the placement or position God has elected for a man.
God's man will prevail at just the right time and in just the right hour as He has determined.
The individual and the gift will prosper.
The "Bezaleel hour" is coming!
Cling to the promise given the stone-men and keep your eyes on the Lord.
Your lot has been cast in advance, your assignment sealed, and soon to be revealed.
Gold, silver, and brass are yours ...
The stones and the gift is coming.
"The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord."
Proverbs 16:33
Amen and to the Lord.
Be ready.
