AUGUST 31 - Meditation: Ephesians 1:15-21

DAY 31 - E115S

By: Darrelyn L. Tutt
Today's Meditation: Ephesians 1:15-21

"Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come."
Ephesians 1:15-21
Ladder Rung: E115S
and are the first and last letters of Ephesians.
Selection of words to aid in memory:
Earnest Suppliant.
Suppliant - An individual making or expressing a plea to someone in a position of power and authority.
Prayer is an admission to our status and position as "suppliant" to the great Supplier of all.
1:15 is our reference.
At 1:00 we'll rehearse our prayer and then, pray the prayer, into other individual's life.
At 5:00 we'll meditate once more on our prayer and it will take us into the evening hours.
We come full circle and conclude our "31 days" with a fuller, deeper, richer, bolder confidence in all God has for us.
We come closer to Him ... recognizing prayer and meditation as the "invisible ladder" which brings us into the heavenly presence and creates an ascending and descending communion that bridges us with the divine.
Prayer is the sacred ladder of mediation which the angels tread in Jacob's dream;
Where God transmits His gracious gifts to us and extols the virtues of His everlasting lovingkindness, mercy, and extensive "reach" into our hearts:
Wisdom and knowledge are gotten on the holy ladder,
Enlightened eyes see with clarity on the well-lit staircase,
Hope and true riches line each step we take up and into the throne room of grace which God has afforded us and invited us into.
God has situated our Christ at His right hand, in the heavenlies, in order that we would come as earnest suppliants to His great supply room and fill ourselves with all that He so graciously desires to give us.
Climb the ladder,
And the ladder will align you with the One your soul is looking for,
Longing for,
Living for ...
One rung at a time.
God is our Supplier.
Great God and Supplier of all need,
Our souls acknowledge Thee as the Sustainer and Supplier to our deepest longings and desires.
Thou creates a bridge and sacred ladder between us where, ascending and descending, Thy gracious presence meets us, and Thy loving care draws us.
For wisdom and revelation of sacred secrets that spur fervency of devotion and emotion, we ask Thee.
For clarity of eyes to see Thy well-lit countenance and radiance we implore Thee.
Let us keep in step with that which makes us more like Thee.
Speak and hasten Thy holy word unto Thy servant.
