Carly lived a crazy life.
Riddled and racked with enough physical, emotional, relational, and sexual turbulance to fortify a strange work of fiction, Carly's story is difficult and painful to comprehend ... yet composed of glory in its end.
In giving her life to Christ, Carly released the reins of her sordid life to a merciful God and now has become a "living wonder" to the world around her.
But Carly wonders at the "wonder" she has become.
Carly, deep down inside, questions herself and God about the unbelievable temptations she continues to experience:
"Are my temptations a 'sign' that I really am not saved? she asks.
"Why do I still experience such evil and dark cravings?"
Hmmm ...
Night life remains a fantastic temptation for Carly:
-The whiff of a "Virginia Slim" still calls her name.
- A "Sunset Rum" still beckons when hell breaks lose and she's hurting.
-A run to the Casino still sounds wonderfully appealing.
-The thrill of a drug sensation still excites and intoxicates.
Twenty years delivered, my friend Carly still struggles with urges, even lapses and splurges of succumbing to sin's unrelenting desires.
And still ...
She continues to love God and He continues to love her in almost fictional and unbelievable ways.
God's power is truly amazing ...
At work and so very alive in her.
Carly's life is one of ongoing and daily confession.
This is, in my book, what makes Carly's life so powerful, forceful, graceful, and magnetic.
Carly's life is lived powerfully because she's loved by God powerfully ... and by His grasp she is known, because of such clasp she will never be let go.
The unconditional love of God lived out in one's life is an extraordinary testimony;
No lives barred,
No lives too broken,
And no love withheld.
Praise our merciful God.
  Of a truth, we each have the "seed" of a Carly living within.
We each experience repetitive temptations and fearful tendencies.
We each question ourselves and question God about these internal, infernal ongoing temptations and tendencies.
We are sinful subjects who require the cleansing surge of Christ's redemptive blood pumping through us 24/7 at a supernatural volume, each and every hour of each and every day.
Exceptions to this ... there are none.
Confession of sin remains the most palpable sign of the Spirit's presence and heartbeat at work within.
Don't wonder at the ongoing sin that continues to plague and tempt you, dear Reader;
It's a displaced and a misplaced wonder.
Place all your "wonder" on a Savior who mercifully and wonderfully saves you.
Let all your wonder be of Him.
He is the only "Wonder" to behold.
Great are His wonders,
To witness and see.
Yet no greater wonder,
Than Jesus loves me.

May every "Carly" reading this be encouraged, strengthened, and emboldened in a deeper walk of faith.
Christ has got His hand on you and He will not let go of you.
Whatever calls your name ...
His name is greater.
Continue a confession of sin;
And Christ will continue His claim on you.
He's got you covered,
Fully covered,
And you are His.
"Hide Thy face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; and uphold me with Thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto Thee."
Psalm 51:9-13
