 DAZZLING DIAMONDS
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

This study is progressive and picks up where the last one left off. If you're just beginning, please take time to look back and review.
"And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle; this shall be the first row. And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst. And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper; they shall be set in gold in their enclosings. And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names like the engravings of a signet; every one with the names shall they be according to the twelve tribes."
Exodus 28:17-21
--------

Today's Stone is the Diamond.
The sixth tribe is Issachar according to the prophetic order of Jacob in Genesis 49.
Curiously and interestingly, we see an easy parallel between stone and tribe which makes it extremely memorable.
"Issachar is a strong donkey couching down between two burdens. And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant, and bowed his shoulder to bear and became a servant unto tribute."
Genesis 49:14-15
--------
The Diamond is the third stone in the second row,
composed with unique and distinguishing characteristics:
+ The Diamond rules supreme among stones in hardness and strength.
Only a Diamond can scratch or cut a Diamond.
Interestingly, the word "Diamond" originates from the Greek word "Adamas" which means invincible or indestructable.
+Diamonds form 100 miles below the earth and volcanic eruptions cause them to surface.
+Diamonds are 100% carbon. Under immense heat combined with pressure, atoms bond and create this intriguing jewel.
+Diamonds were believed, in ancient days, to grant strength, courage, and victory to those who wore her in battle of which many did.
+The Diamond is the birthstone of April and the jewel of choice for weddings and anniversaries.
In 1477, the first recorded Diamond engagement ring was given to Mary of Bergundy by Archduke Maxmillian ... and the trend never ended.
+In 2004, scientists discovered a planet orbiting a star in the Milky Way composed mostly of carbon. Her name is "55 Cancrie" and she is thought to be 1/3 pure Diamond.
Wow!
Maybe an upcoming traveling adventure ...
---------
Scriptures which speak to the Diamond outside the Priestly garment:
Jeremiah 17:11 & Ezekiel 28:13
God made the raw jewel called the Diamond and matched her up with a "cut" strong and pure. Her place is secure on the sacred breast of the Most High priest;
her cut is pure until the end of time.
Issachar and the child of God are safely embedded into the breast of the great High Priest.
Sparkling, dazzling ... on Him.
Dazzling Diamonds.
