DO NOT FORGET

DO NOT FORGET

By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

A pilgrim I am on a wilderness plain,
Where trials and troubles abound;
A solitaire place where the soul needeth grace,
As an entrance to heavenly ground.

The pilgrim grows weary and all 'long the way,
Does he strive for the eyes of the King,
He moves in accord, keeping step with the Lord,
For the joy that His presence will bring.

Pilgrim, ye wander, but do not forget,
When deep sorrows assault and prevail;
Christ has apportioned a heavenly lot,
That proceedeth the plain of travail.

CHORUS:
The fount overflows on the wilderness plain,
And free runs Emmanuel's blood;
Cleansing the soul that is weary below,
And washed in the depth of His love.
Washed in the depths of His love.

------

Thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness ...
