FEBRUARY 22: THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE

THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.
Colossians 3:1-4
Today's Read: Colossians 3; Psalm 46
------
Wondrous discoveries attend to the child absorbed in the word of God; awaiting discovery and filled with healing and recovery upon receiving them.
This morning's treasure lifts me considerably.
Like three words embossed and emboldened in black they raise themselves in my mind and firmly settle and excite me:
Seek.
SITTETH.
Set.

Three little words composed with a glorious meaning ... and the "One in the Middle," literally and figuratively wields the glory, contains the power, and bears all the weight for possibility of the two on either side.
-There is no apple without the core.
-There is no planting and harvest without the seed.
-There is no treasure without the Christ.
-There is no seeking and setting if there isn't One that SITTETH.
The One who sits is the One who sets the heart on seeking.
Once this reality is in place for the child of God,
All things are ordered, provided, and made secure for him.
-Glory be to God for the substantial placement of the Christ at His right hand.
-Glory be to God for the unmovable, unshakable, uncontestable placement reserved for only Christ alone at the right hand of the Father.
Glory be to God for every child who looks to Christ and understands the value of the seating arrangement in the heavenlies.
And blessed be the child of God who has settled their hope on this unmovable, unchangable reality.
Christ is man's stationary focal point.
------
Vision is impaired, hampered, and dimmed when the eyes of man seek the approval of man and the sight is set on a changable man.
Vision is made clear and clarified when the eyes of man look to the Son of Man situated on the right hand of God and made secure there forever.
Feet adjust themselves to focal point.
Make sure your focal point is on a fixed point,
That you get where you need to be.
Eternity's coming.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 2:5-6

Three Study Suggestions:
1) Absorbing God's word keeps the mind, soul, and feet moving toward a fixed focal point. Keep constant in the word out of necessity and keep sharing what He's teaching you with others.
2) Forego whatever you need to forego on earth in order to have your soul securely settled for eternity. Do not look to man to take you somewhere; He does not have the power to take you anywhere ... in the end.
3) Be obedient to the One who is seated at the right hand of Christ.
He is unmovably and unshakably situated.
Set and Seek ... the Seated One.
