"It’s very dark in here,"
whispered Fearful.
"Yes ... and will not the light shine the brighter when once it comes?"
answered Hopeful.
Darkness is the place from which testimonies emerge …
where Christ’s light illuminates and fills.
We rarely understand the confines of the “cell” with which we are plunged into and we panic, grow fearful, and afraid. Yet all the while … Christ is fostering a bridge of intimacy through the chasm we call darkness and aloneness.
The recognition of our true selves is exposed in the darkness;
and the recognition and need for Christ’s light becomes our greatest desire, need, and prayer.
Christ shows Himself to us in our darkness … because that’s who He is.
He is Light.
Intimacy is fostered in the dark and barren places of the soul; It’s not a fun or enjoyable place but neither is it a lasting one.
Christ will meet and reveal His light to you … in your darkness.
It’s not a possibility, it’s a reality.
Depend on it, claim it and cling to Him.
God be with you.
“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”
1 John 1:5
