JULY 15 - Acts 17:26-27 and Esther 4:14

By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

"And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us."
Acts 17:26-27

"For if thou (Esther) altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
Esther 4:14

Memory Catcher: 3D/E. If something is 3D it is 3-Dimensional and one can observe a visual variance in width, depth, and height. In the life of Esther we see God at work behind the scenes in 3D, and though His name appears nowhere, He is everywhere.
It's exceptional.
3D - 1) Deliverer 2) Determines 3) Dwelling ...
Followed by the E for Esther.
Deliverer Determines Dwelling utilizing Esther.
God is a pre-Determiner of each man's dwelling and each man's calling and He, alone, is able to bring about true and lasting deliverance.
God is man's Deliverer;
He was in the past, He is in the present, He will be in the future.
There are a great many spiritual realities that ought to settle our souls and calm our anxieties in this present moment ... regardless of what we find ourselves faced with.
Our lives have been irreversibly determined by a loving and holy God.
From the moment of our conception to the moment we draw our final breath God has laid out a sovereign plan for us that is best in keeping with His glory.
Great peace should be drawn from the reality that, by looking in 3D, we see that the life we live isn't about us, so much, as it is about God.
Our natural fleshly tendency is to believe that "we" are the center of the Universe but this, of course, is a fallacy. Life on earth conveys meaning only when we turn the lens and live for the One who created it.
It is God who supplies our lives with a Deliverer (Jesus Christ) and then proceeds to progress us in purposeful living and progressive intimacy with Himself.
Consider our profile, Esther, who had a lot of seeming "negatives" to overcome throughout her life:
She was an orphan.
She was a woman.
She was a Jew.
She was young.
She was living in a fearful period of Israel's history; an exile removed and remaining in a far-away country.
Each of these realities, in this particular time period, were seeming "negatives" within the culture.
But God has never minded, nor cared about, the seeming "negatives" that prevent our eyes from seeing clearly.
Designating Esther as the young woman who would tip the scales favorably toward God's chosen people and save them from destruction and annihilation; He would use her for the deliverance of His people.
Mmmm ...
What God does is just so powerfully and beautifully suggestive of His nature.
He loves us, draws us, woos us, and chooses to use us, in spite of us.
God is so good to us yet needy of none of us.
God made you for a reason.
Your ancestry, culture, background, past, looks, personality, abilities and giftings are all for a purpose that points, ultimately, to God.
Your "placement" is His deciding.
The "purpose, progress, and station" of your life is His deciding.
And only when we find our purpose in Him ...
do we really live, move, and have our being.
"For in Him we live, and move, and have our being ..."
Acts 17:28
Allow Esther's life to inspire you to see God in 3D today.
The Deliverer that Determines your Dwelling has prepared eternity for you.
O God and ruling Father,
Forgive me for narrow and short-sighted vision.
Forgive my self-centered, uncentered ways,
My fleshly tendencies,
My attempts at control,
My countless wrongs, regrets, and sins.
Once more, please quiet me,
Calm me,
Fill me and remind me of Your presence in my life and in this place.
Utilize my seeming "negatives" for Thy great glory,
And let your presence emanate from my life.
For Thy great deliverance and all that Thou hast given to me and determined for me,
Thy name is to be praised.
