JULY 5 - Isaiah 55:11 and Acts 9:15-18; 21

By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11
“But the Lord said unto him (Ananias), ‘Go thy way: for he (Paul) is a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will show him how great things he must suffer for My name’s sake.’ And Ananias went his way and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightiest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales; and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
But all that heard him were amazed …”
Acts 9:15-18;21
Memory Catcher: God’s Word changes everything. “Word” and “Saul” both have 4 letters and remind us of 4 significant changes:
“Blinded by hate, murderous Saul” becomes “Loved by God, missionary Paul.”
There is no end to what God can do with a man He’s got ahold of.
While Saul was on his journey to kill godly men, God stopped him, blocked him, and blinded him.
Garnering his attention in a forceful and demonstrable way, He issued a “call” on Saul’s life and changed his name, vocation, location, and entire lifestyle. Everything Paul would become and everywhere Paul would go, God’s word would prevail and a supernatural power would emanate from him.
Paul would become the greatest and most outstanding missionary of all time and the Gospel would radiate to peoples, nations, and tongues that had never before heard the word of Christ.
This is the power of Christ at work and His word within a man.
God wields the right to create a virtual testimony in His way, His time, and in His power … and none can prevent Him.
A blood-thirsty murderous killer named Saul became a God fearing, missionary, lover, named Paul.
If God can work in such a mysterious, dynamic, powerful way through a Paul, He can surely do the same through you and me.
Believe God for the “more” that is to proceed from your life and immerse yourself solidly, steadily, and daily in His word.
Remember that His word is the only word which will never return void;
It will always move with power wherever He sends it.
This is His promise and His certain guarantee.

Transformation and name change, in some form, will occur supernaturally in our lives in His way, His time, and His power.
When God stops you, blocks you, and blinds you …
He’s going to make something of you,
Manifest Himself to you,
and move His glory through the story called your life.
Eternal and Immortal Father,
Make us hungry for the holiness of Thy word.
Make us search and seek after that which will not perish or fade away.
Make Thy presence and eternal glory our deepest attainment and chief desire.
For a penetrating sense of Thy power and a personal sense of Thy presence …
Request is put forth.
Grant that the scales fall would fall from our eyes …
That we might see Jesus.
To Thee be all glory;
Thy word be our story.
