MAY 12 - PROVERBS 12:12 and MATTHEW 13:47-50
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

"The wicked desireth the net of evil men; but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit."
Proverbs 12:12

and
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which when it was full they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
Matthew 13:47-50

Illustration with 12: The #1 is a sketch of a tree with roots (righteous) and the #2 serves as a snake (evil,) and In this way I am reminded of the separation of good and evil. The righteous will be preserved and continue to bear fruit but the evil man will cease and be no more; his fate will be destruction and hell.
-----
 Evil men are drawn and "cast the net in" with evil men ... and in doing so are afforded a temporal stronghold. They swim in "schools" of deception and spawn devious behavior with the desire to lure the righteous away (if that were possible.) Their deeds are done in darkness and their defilement appears to have temporary success ... but for a "limited time only."
Evil men will have their end ... depend on it;
Satan's doom is sure and his defeat has been declared.
The lake of hell, the wrath of God, and separation from God is their final dwelling place ...
and they shall be no more.
----
In the meantime, the roots of the righteous descend, and burrow themselves into the rich soil that God has prepared for them. They grow, they thrive, and they bear fruit. They are destined for eternal goodness and they raise their extended branches upward, hungry for light and everything needed for life.
They experience periods and seasons of drought but will be carried through with an eruption of only more fruit in their end.
Those who are drawn to light will congregate "supernaturally" to light of the Spirit's accord and working.
Righteous men will have their wondrous end also ... depend on it!
Christ's glory is sure and His victory has been declared:
A glorious home above, the delight of God, and the experience of being with God will be their end ... and they shall reign with Him forever and ever.
And it shall be good;
Praise God.
----
Together the righteous and the wicked shall be gathered ... but they shall not remain together. Division of the two has been determined in advance and God shall judge the living and the dead.
To Him be all glory;
May hearts be prepared.
Amen.

THREE QUESTIONS:
1) In the privacy of your personal life ... are you being drawn into light or lured into darkness? Consider an individual who might shed light and love on you, simultaneously, and open up to them.
2) When seasons of drought come into the believer's life, and they will, what is the wisest strategy for continued growth?
3) If the net was being gathered this moment, who would you be surrounded with?
