Naked – Uncovered, unsheathed, unadorned, unarmed, defenseless.

The soul that comes to Christ in a naked state will become clothed.
God doesn’t need any of our finery;
He doesn’t need an intelligent mind,
a beautiful face,
an eloquent tongue,
an attractive body,
a title behind the name,
or money in the account.
He sets His holy eye on the needy one,
the hurting one,
the broken one,
the empty one,
The searching one.
The naked and exposed one.
And He loves that “one.”
And on that “one” He adorns an internal raiment superior to earth’s finest.
In that “one” He finds delight and anoints with His Spirit.
Over that “one” He provides a canopy of grace.
And before that “one” He goes ahead.
God is not afraid of an altered, broken, damaged, fragmented life;
Come as you are ...
Come naked.
  He will clothe you.
“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness...”
Isaiah 61:10
