Positive people are empowering people.
They see the best, speak to the best, and work to “be” their best … and they help others do the same.
Are you that person?
Do others want to be around you because of your optimism and ability to sport success?
Positive people defeat negativity through positive activity and they never, ever, ever give up.
Pay attention to what your mind is thinking and what your mouth is saying, my friend.
You’ll find them to be self-fulfilling prophesies.
Today’s word empowerment, in the form of a poem, never fails to inspire me.
I hope “yours truly” and Edward Guest speak a message to the same.
Positive thinking is critical to success.
Believe. Believe. Believe.
Before Lindberg’s flight, there were thousands who set up the cry, “Flying Fool.”
There always have been, and there always will be, people who prophecy failure. Our admiration goes out to the person who, in spite of scoffers, sets about his task and sticks to it until he has seen it through.

By: Edward Guest (Poet – 1900’s)

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
But he with a chuckle replied,
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one,
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin,
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing, as he tackled the thing,
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it.”
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing,
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

 There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophecy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing,
That “cannot be done,” and you’ll do it.
