Excellent thoughts on landscape. A reminder that even in the hard places, God is doing something. Forming character.

Love the landscape theme and how landscapes change as we journey.

David learned much in his time spent alone tending sheep. He learned faith, to trust, rely, on the Lord and to remember Who the battle belongs to. I picture David tending to the sheep in a valley. Psalm 23 comes to mind. John 10:27 also comes to mind, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;". Faith. It grows in us in the landscape of our valleys. It is where we learn to recognize His voice.
