OCTOBER 19: TODAY'S WORD

TODAY'S WORD

John 17 and Psalm 17
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

Loving Father,
Show me Thy lovingkindness this day.
Deal tenderly and mercifully with me and open up Thy word to me.
Keep watch over my heart and let my meditation be sweet of Thee.
Keep my feet moving onward
And my soul moving forward.
Let what is right, good, and true cling to me;
Let what is wrong, evil, and false flee from me.
Keep my soul safely harbored in Thy care.
Amen.

John 17:2 ---> Isaiah 45 (Entire chapter)
Psalm 17:5 ---> Isaiah 43:16
John 17:17 ---> Joshua 1:8-9
------
What truths do "you" see?
Record three.
A thread of my own:
1) All those who steep in truth will be carried and conveyed by Truth.
Truth carriers will be granted boldness, swiftness of tongue, and a deep communion with the Holy One.
2) The ways of a man are known by the Lord and his steps appointed and ordained before time. This is a comforting reality and one which breeds faith. God's "man" shall be held up and His pathway made straight.
3) God's truth is the only truth sufficient for this life.
It is unalterable, unconditional, and absolute;
It stands the test of time ... and then beyond.
The man who anchors himself to truth shall succeed in his endeavors.
God be praised and God be pleased,
Let "me" be this man.
