OCTOBER 2: JOHN 2 and PSALM 2

OCTOBER 2: JOHN 2 and PSALM 2
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

We weave our "three strand" study format into our communion with Christ and become empowered, engaged, and employed for His service.
1) PRAYER
O Lord, of Thy pure wisdom and counsel we now seek and partake. Grant that our internal beings might be filled with honest confession and gentle cleansing. Wash, renew, and position our souls with Thy glory and for Thy great name's sake.
Open our eyes to behold and take hold of Thy precious Word.
"Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Hide Thy face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation and uphold me with Thy free Spirit. Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto Thee."
Psalm 51:7;9-13

Amen.

2) READ
Today's reading is John 2 and Psalm 2.
A wonderfully addictive habit is to pack the Gospel between the Psalms:
 Psalm 2 ---> John 2 ---> Psalm 2.
This is my "Oreo" practice and I find it delicious and delightful.
Eat of it and give it a taste, dear seeker.

3) RECORD
Select one truth from each chapter and record them together.
 Consider highlighting them in your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to direct you elsewhere in His precious word while continuing to "weave a thread" for you.
This is a pleasurable and meaningful practice of intimacy between one's soul and God.

"Kiss the Son lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him."
Psalm 2:12
"But Jesus did not commit Himself unto them, because He knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man; for He knew what was in man."
John 2:24-25
"Kiss the Son lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him."
Psalm 2:12

Additional Threads:
 Psalm 2:12 ---> John 2:14-17
John 2:24-25 ---> Jer. 17:9
Psalm 2:12 ---> Prov.3:5-6

Such thoughts do provoke:
1) Let nothing deter nor prevent closeness to Christ.
Deal with the harshest of truths on earth in order to enjoy the esteem and loving favor of the Heavenly Father who is composed of such.
The Father's house is a house of truth ... and a sourge will be taken to all else.
2) The soul ought not to be entrusted to any man but only to the Christ.
Any and all attempts to trust in man shall turn suddenly and certainly disastrous.
Man is by nature, evil.
God is by nature, good.
3) This tender vulnerable soul shall this moment count itself in right standing with its Creator and entrust the leading and guiding of it to sufficient and safe hands.
Blessing shall attend this naked soul;
 Thy presence shall anoint, reveal, and show.
Amen.
