John 18 and Psalm 18
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

Mighty Father,
Cleanse my heart of ill and evil, and wash away my sin.
Purge my soul with Thy healing word and wipe out all trace of iniquity.
Purify me in entirety and make me whole.
Give me an undivided heart to fear Thy name;
give me a hunger and desire for Thy goodness and Thy holiness.
Help me to want what is right and to be grieved by what is wrong.
Cause me to run toward what is pure and run away from all that is evil.
Protect me from the poisonous fear of man and harbor in me, a fear of Thy holy name.
Grant me a spirit of humility, wisdom, and council.
In the strength and name of Jesus.
Today's Reading:
John 18 ---> Psalm 18 ---> John 18
"As soon as He had said unto them, 'I am He,' they went backward and fell to the ground."
John 18:6
"It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places."
Psalm 18:32-33
"Pilate therefore said unto Him, 'Art Thou a king then?' Jesus answered, 'Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into this world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth My voice."
John 18:37

John 18:6 ---> Philippians 2:10-11
Psalm 18:32-33 ---> Hab.3:18-19
John 18:37 ---> John 7:15-17
What truths do "you" see?
Record three.
A thread of my own:
1) The name of Jesus brings victory, freedom, and relief.
The name of Jesus strengthens, stabilizes, and secures.
The name of Jesus and the word of His testimony stands resolutely, absolutely, and magnificently clear and apart from all the rest.
Those who stake their souls to the Christ shall live true lives of peace.
No man preventing.
2) God prepares His man for the heights, ordering His steps and sufficiently girding him with the strength needed for his ascending.
3) We are appointed and anointed to bear witness to the Truth by the telling of it.
God is glorified when His sanctioned and stationed child brings His truth to others.
Indeed, it is His work in the child that affords the child this blessed opportunity.
Jesus ...
Name above all names.
