Psalm 27
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

Sheltering Father,
Shed light on my path and put joy in my heart.
Grant wisdom to my mind and discernment to my spirit.
Cause me to see my weaknesses and acknowledge Your strength.
Hold me close to Yourself, sheltering Father.
Condition my heart with Your purity and let council from Your word be my guide.
Rule over my emotions and let truth overshadow my feelings.
Separate me from compromising individuals and put me on task with true spiritual pilgrims.
Provide me with promises from Your word that will lead me in a way that brings You glory.
Let me be more concerned with You than all others in my decision making;
Let my life be enthusiastically and passionately invested with You and for You
In the name of my beautiful Jesus.

Psalm 27:1 ---> 1 John 1:5
Psalm 27:4 ---> Isaiah 33:17
Psalm 27:14 ---> Isaiah 35 (entirety)
What truths do you see?
Record three.
A thread of my own:
1) Light brings life and it radiates from Christ.
We, who are nearest Him and dearest Him, will be drawn to Light and draw others to the Light.
Light dwellers are "sight tellers" that help others see and shine with hope, life, and healing.
There is no darkness to be afraid of in the presence of Light.
2) The desire of nearness to God speaks to the presence of the Spirit of God and His longings within.
To yearn for Him and burn for Him speaks to steady communion and intimacy with Him; it is a beautiful and engaging desire that the Father instills.
There is no imagination or stimuli more beautifying or worth beholding in all the world than the beauty of the Lord and His holiness. To have such a desire at work, and compelling, is a beautiful and mysterious marvel birthed of the Father.
3) I must not wait on man for what only God can provide.
I must look to the Lord alone and wait on His timing and His leading.
He will secure all that is needful for me in where He is taking me;
He will receive glory from me as He deems best through me ...
 and this is His business alone.
"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will guide thee with Mine eye."
Psalm 32:8
