Gracious and benevolent Father,
Let wisdom now enter into my heart.
Let the dark closet of my mind be subject to the light of Thy pure word.
Let vile thought be replaced with merciful grace.
Let ill will and temperament be controlled by Thy great and powerful Spirit.
Let the needs of others take precedence over the desires of self.
Let mind, soul, and body be given over to the service of that which is good, noble, and just.
O God,
Let me esteem of highest value and greatest worth,
Thy commendation of me.

Let nothing hinder the progress of my soul in its pursuit of Thee.
Keep me near Thee.
Breathe Thy comforts upon me and Thy consolations within me.
Speak to me from Thy word … and let Thy wisdom guide me.
To Thee be all honor and glory.

"But the wisdom that is above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace."
James 3:17-18
