Take a peek at my journal and you'll note a repetitive, distinct discipline packed into the first line of each day's entry:
A quote (one of five) by Brian Tracy.
It may seem a redundant, repetitive, and even boring practice;
But "this" practice has wielded life-changing results.
Rather than fill my mind with inspirational but forgettable quotes,
I determined and decided to retain, remember, and rehearse five sustainable, substantial, strategical life-changing ones.
The same contributing author (Brian Tracy) was selected for retainability purposes in this endeavor.
The results have been gratifying:
-Conversations have been afforded and assisted with excellent life-changing substance.
-Lives have been meaningfully and substantially empowered.
-Desires and dreams have been furthered and encouraged.
-My circle of intelligent friends and meaningful conversation has broadened.
-Readers, writers, and thinkers encompass my hungry learning/relational sphere in a productive and pleasurable way.
Words have the power to change lives.
Tongues have the power to deliver healing, health, and hope.
Thoughts have the power to spur growth, invite learning, and induce change.
I've decided to be an active participant.
For the reader's edification, empowerment, and employment, they are here presented:
1) "Committing your goals to paper increases the likelihood of your achieving them by one thousand percent."
-Brian Tracy
2) "Rewrite your major goals every day, in the present tense, exactly as if they already existed."
-Brian Tracy
3) "The establishment of a clear, central purpose or goal in life is the starting point of all success."
-Brian Tracy
4) "Goals in writing are dreams with deadlines."
-Brian Tracy
5) "An average person with average talent, ambition, and education, can outstrip the most brilliant genius in our society if that person has clear, focused goals."
-Brian Tracy
 And passion to boot ... I might add. (smile)
Until next year, when a new "five" are selected, I continue my implementation and rehearsal of these five strategic life-changing quotes.
And I issue a hearty "Amen" to these profound words in closing:
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
-Eleanor Roosevelt
