In the midst of a routine day God speaks to me.
In a web of tangled and troubled thoughts He meets me.

The words are simple and uncomplicated,
Pure and practical:
When your spirit hurts,
When the bad thoughts come,
When painful memories resurface, Darrelyn,
Praise Me.
The words touch me profoundly.
My heavenly Father knows me and desires to rescue me when I don't know what to do, when I don't know what to think, and when I'm all tired out inside.
Is it coincidental that just days earlier He gifted me with an old "North American Hymnalthrough the hands of my beloved client?
No ... of course not.
God prepared the gift,
He provided the words I would need to praise Him,
And then He spoke His good needful word,
Giving me everything that I need in advance.
And between God and me ... all is well.
The Hymnal is open.
My heart is receptive,
And I simply praise Him and do ...
What He's told me to do.
O love ... that will not let me go.
Sing with me the first stanza:
*O love that will not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the life I owe,
That in Thine ocean depths its flow,
May richer, fuller be.

O love that will not let me go ...
