SIX SEEDS

SIX SEEDS

By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

The little mustard seeds continue their distribution, flung far and wide and with those dearest and nearest me,
shared with promise, purpose, and faith building productivity.
The "mustard seed adventure" empowers, inspires, and thrives wonderfully.
-------
Since familiarity breeds receptivity, my next "hand" was composed of six little seeds for its effects.
The passage effectively and dramatically illumined the recipient who digested the passage in Luke like a greedy homeless waif set before a free and indulgent buffet.
"The apostles said to the Lord,
'Increase our faith.'
And the Lord said, 'If thou had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to the this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it would obey you."
Luke 17:5-6
-------
What shall we think of this "certain" woman who heard the word,
sprang to life in excitement, zeal, and energy,
declared the truth aloud "six" times in agreement with the seed count,
and popped the six seeds into her mouth like needed Advil on a necessary day?
Mmmm ...
The certain woman is none other than "yours truly" composed of a hearty countenance and a deep and abiding love for Christ. It's only natural, I feel, that those who have received much from their Redeemer, should act out in such an adoring and appreciative way.
And maybe "this" way takes a different look than the others.
No matter,
it's all okay.
-------
Each day Christ begins my day with a first and necessary seed provision given to "me".
Upon personal intake, request is then made for a  "seed count" and I wait for the Spirit to tell me what it might be.
In accordance with the number I swallow the seed.
It so happens that "this" day, six seeds seemed to sprout inside my mind.
This is the way I go at it.
-------
Laugh. Question. Ponder. Wonder.
Unorthodox ... yes and absolutely,
but this is the "way" God works in me.
Curiously, mysteriously, and always so provokingly.
Consider the joy that is mine,
 the faith being established,
  the intimacy being developed,
and the unstoppable force of the Gospel affirmatively at work within and without.
Consider the creative perspective and personalness of God and rejoice.
What a wonder!
Six souls are on my soul, and the first "one" already accounted for.
God be praised for His merciful ways,
and five little seeds to be scattered.
Until tomorrow ...
