 Stereogram – A “hidden” picture within a picture; a visual subtlety.
Stereograms are interesting and fascinating.
A stereogram can be placed in front of you for viewing; you can look for a very long time and see nothing. But then when the “nothing” is pointed out you can see “nothing” else.
The hidden picture was always there, it just took you a while to see it.
Satan works in our lives through stereograms. He presents us with a favorable landscape and he hides himself.
Sometimes we see him and sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we need for him to be pointed out and we wonder … why we couldn’t see him all along. Sometimes we get bothered at how long it takes us to see something that was always there or very notable to a different set of “trained” eyes.
Most sadly and to our detriment is when we pretend he’s not there at all and participate in a landscape that hurts a testimony of Christ, ourselves, and others.
Satan’s chameleon tactics are old … but they work. He intersects us through favorable landscapes on a daily basis knowing when to appear and how to appear. Like a chameleon that adapts its coloring to its surroundings he studies us, watches us, and then fits himself accordingly and deceptively into it.
He hides in churches, homes, jobs, relationships, hobbies, interests, and desires and …
He grows more deceptive as we become more receptive in our response to our landscape.
Be it in a wink or at a water fountain;
A friendly meet and greet or a silent but purposed exchange;
A private text or an unnecessary call;
Unnecessary intersections and silent interactions.
Be alert.
Be mindful that what he's done to one ... he's done to many others.
He'll keep coming at you, attempting to steal more from you, while pieces of your heart are robbed and taken.
Satan works in unrelenting, conniving, and purposed ways to procure his desire:
To steal, kill, and destroy.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
John 10:10
He’s not playing a child’s game with you; he’s playing for keeps and for your ultimate destruction.
I’m not sure why God chooses to reveal and expose hidden things to us “when” He does; I’m just thankful “that” He does.
For eyes that see better than mine … I give thanks.
For words that inflict temporary hurt but provide long-term protection … I give thanks.
For the Holy Spirit who continually directs, guides, and protects our lives to secure them for eternity and for a deeper more meaningful walk with Christ … I give thanks.
Ask God to reveal a spiritual stereogram to you.
Ask for “trained” eyes to help you see what you can’t see ... and never suggest to yourself or to another that your eyes don't need help; this is a way we love one another.
Study the stereogram,
Study your course,
And thank God for all He chooses to reveal to you.

“He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.
I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers."
Daniel 2:22
