Spirit of Christ, and Father Almighty,
Stir the waters of Thy great sufficiency and submerge my soul in Thy great mercy.
Saturate my spirit with Thy sanctified presence and in Thy great power immerse my body, soul, and mind until they become one with Thine.
Cleanse me of contaminant, sever me from all that is not in compliance with Thy great and perfect will, and intensify my desire of Thee alone.
Drown me, encompass me, envelop me in Thy mysterious life giving grace.
Let all be settled within my soul by the stirring of Thy holiness within.
Draw my spirit into Thine ... yet deeper.
Thou hast loved undeservedly, unreservedly, and wondrously.
Let Thy name be praised above all.
"Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folks, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had."
John 5:2-4
