If you place your trust in man … prepare to be disillusioned and disappointed.
A good man, even on his best day, bears the marks of fallibility, fragility, and weakness.
God did not appoint a mortal man to be a means of your salvation,
He appointed His Son Jesus Christ.
Until you make Him Lord of your life and surrender your life to His Lordship you will forfeit the peace that comes only through Him.
Jesus Christ is man’s only source of salvation and hope … and there is nothing and no one who can give you that this side of heaven but Him.
He is Infallible,
He is Consistent,
and Truthful.
When He says He will never leave you or forsake you …
He really means it.
When He says His word is pure, true, and unchanging …
You can stake your life on it.
When He makes a promise …
God keeps a promise.
This is the good news of the Gospel.

Forsake all attempts to trust in man, my friend, and place them in a more secure dwelling.
Christ holds the key to whatever it is you’re looking for;
Look to Him and lean on Him alone.
Thus says the Lord,
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8
