The question was recently placed before twenty individuals,"

"What surprises you most about God?"
As the provoking answers returned, the realization hit me, that each individual was speaking from their present life situation into their "view" of God. It really was quite an insightful exercise.
Here are a few of your answers.
What surprises you most about God?
-That He would choose to use me and that He still loves me.
-His unconditional love for me.
-His amazing grace.
-His care and faithfulness evidenced in the tiny details of our lives.
-How He smooths the way, and it all works out for good.
-That He cares about me.

-His protection over my son in a recent accident.
-His faithfulness, even when I'm not.
-That God remembers the places of our hurt and redeems them.
-That He keeps His word.

-That He calls us to Himself, no matter what we have done or not done.
-That He doesn't strike more people with lightening.
-I don't know.
-That prayers are never void, they don't expire. It may take ten years, it may be a "no," but they are never unanswered.
-That He loves without condition. No hidden strings attached. No "gotcha" moments.

-That He is unrelenting in His pursuit of us.
The last response is mine and, indeed, speaks to my present life situation.
What would be "your" answer?
The personalness of God is extraordinary.
In God's vastness, He relates to our smallness.
In God's glory, He welcomes our weakness.
In God's greatness, He receives our nothingness.
God is extraordinarily good,
Exceptionally wise,
Sovereignly in control,
And of gentle and merciful eyes.
Worthy of our adoration ... there is none to be compared with Him.
Get alone with the Christ and love on Him.
He loves "you" so.
"O Lord, Thou hast searched me, and known me."
