THE RAIN FALLS SOFT

 THE RAIN FALLS SOFT
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

The rain falls soft.
A gentle, peaceful sound on the roof.
A serene symphony conducted free of charge for all those listening.
My soul lies quietly engaged.
Refreshing.
Cleansing.
Healing.
Hopeful.
A purchase of colorful rainboots will be mine this day,
A raincoat donned,
Pools of water attending.
And whether the rain falls soft,
Or whether the rain falls hard,
I'll gather myself neath the clouds and drink in the beauty which God has afforded.
My soul will breathe in the life-giving breath of His mercy and grace falling gently.
I've learned to dance in the rain.
Merging raindrops and teardrops as one.
Intimate passions exchanging.
And softly the falling ...
Of rain.
