Suppliant – One who makes a humble plea to one in authority or power.
Of your grace and mercy, Lord, I come as suppliant before your throne.
A beggar in need of what I cannot provide for myself:
Cleansing, purity, righteousness, holiness.
-Cleanse my mind of vile impurity and draw it into the subjection of Your pure word.
-Purify my desires and captivate me by the wonder of your holy presence.
-Purge from me the darkness of sin and iniquity and surround me with songs of deliverance.
-Hasten to help me, O Lord God my Father ... and make me holy.
Sustain me with Thy mercy in liberal abundance,
Settle my soul with Thy undeserved grace.
Afford me Thy tender care this needed moment.
Suppliant makes request of sovereign Supplier:
Save and saturate my sinful soul.

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16
