"What would happen if we holed up in an upper room, knelt at an altar, or locked ourselves in a prayer closet and said, 'I'm not coming out until I receive the gift my Father promised.' I'll tell you what would happen:
Pentecost would happen all over again.
You cannot plan Pentecost. It's not like Peter woke up on the day of Pentecost and had 'speaking in tongues' on his to-do list. He didn't plan on baptizing three thousand people that day. But if you pray for ten days, Pentecost is bound to happen."
-Mark Batterson
Challenged by Mark Batterson's "Draw the Circle," I've been incorporating people and specific prayer requests into my life circling specific arenas of life.
Right now seven godly women are encircling a "Jericho" with me with a desire to see walls fall and God's sacred redemptive glory appear in 40 days of committed prayer.
It's happening even now;
I perceive it.
-God is glorified when we empty ourselves "of ourselves" and seek to promote Him and His glory alone.
-God is glorified when we seek nothing but Him ... from Him.
-God is glorified when we subject ourselves to the terms of true surrender required by Him and seek nothing but His glory in our lives.
Direct your thoughts to the story and glory of God and ask Him to display His glory to you through praise, adoration, and fixed prayer.
Do as you are led.
Watch what "He" does.
 And prepare to be amazed.
"My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise.
For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens and Thy truth unto the clouds. Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Thy glory be above all the earth."
Psalm 57:7;10-11
