WHAT'S IN A NAME?

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
By: Darrelyn L. Tutt

What's in a name?
I think a very great deal.
Sometimes God whispers sweet and emphatic assurances of His presence in our midst.
How He does it,
When He does it,
And why He does it ... I do not know.
But that He does it is a tender, timely kindness and providence.
His signature lies emphatically upon each of our lives as we give ourselves over to Him.
Consider such a curious simple thing as "my" name:
DARRELYN
My name is special for many reasons and on many fronts from my birth:
Inside of my name is housed the key to success.
Look carefully and see if you can find the word "RELY."
Put a mental box around it.
Look carefully once more and note the "EL" in the midst of RELY:
Hebrew terminology for a deity or god.
When enlisted by the Almighty God,
El is capitalized, captured, and highlighted with God's holy name:
El Shaddai
El Roi
The success of any individual is granted and garnered by a fixed and resolute reliance upon God.
The testimony of God is thus bore and wore through my unusual and providential name, and in the midst of such name lies the key to success:
Reliance upon God.
God is in my midst and shall not fail.
Men may stand against ... yet God prevail.
The blessed Redeemer of my soul and yours lies safe in the keeping of the Lord.
To God be praise from now until eternity.
You must answer the question:
What do "you" deem as the key to success and who's in the midst of your frame and your name?

"Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee; Let such as love Thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me; Thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God."

Psalm 40:16-17
Now see again.
Look at the next passage and its blessed match-up:
"Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee; and let such as love Thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy; make haste unto me, O God, Thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying."
Psalm 70:3-5

Some truths are simply worth repeating.
