    Pain exposure,
    Heart disclosure,
    Come in closer ….
    Heart expanding,
    Every trial,
    Heart-ache, sorrow,
    Every kind of
    God refining,
    Soul through
    Cloud encompassed
    Silver lining,
    Mercy’s silver cord,
    Bound around
    The earthly child,
    The Lord.

    “You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble;
    You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
    Psalm 32:7

    Keep on stumbling, keep on falling;
    Not much walking, so much crawling.
    God, who knows my way …
    Please hold my hand.

    The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.
    Psalm 37:23-24

    Naked – Uncovered, unsheathed, unadorned, unarmed, defenseless.
    The soul that comes to God in such a state will be clothed.
    God doesn’t need any of our finery;
    He doesn’t need an intelligent mind,
    a beautiful face,
    an eloquent tongue,
    an attractive body,
    a title behind the name,
    or money in the account.
    He sets His holy eye on the needy one,
    the hurting one,
    the broken one,
    the empty one,
    the searching one,
    the naked and exposed one ...
    And He loves that “one.”
    And on that one He adorns an internal raiment superior to earth’s finest,
    In that one He finds delight and anoints with His Spirit,
    Over that one He provides a canopy of grace,
    And before that one He goes ahead.
    God is not afraid of an altered, broken, damaged, fragmented life;
    Come as you are … and He will clothe you.

    “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness...”
    Isaiah 61:10

    The phone rang late one evening and I answered it.
    A loved one was on the other end speaking unintelligible words in a desperate voice and clearly in a desperate plight.
    For forty-five minutes I listened to strange ramblings fearful that an abrupt departure might conclude with a very bad ending.
    Intoxicated with alcohol; the ability to reason, think, and speak clearly were absent.
    I remained on the other end and I stayed on the line.
    Echoes of my loved one’s voice penetrated my heart and mind throughout the night and I longed for God to reach into that aching heart and heal the hurts.
    As I spoke to the Lord about the matter He shared an intimate revelation with me.
    This is what I heard:
    Many times, My child, you approach My throne of grace with an inebriated tongue.
    Unintelligible words pour forth from your desperate, wounded, and aching heart and speak a revelation of a disjointed heart disconnected with Me.
    For forty-five minutes you ramble about trials bearing down on you, hurts that encompass you, and fears that overwhelm you.
    Intoxicated by the lies of the world and the deceit of Satan; your ability to reason, think, and speak clearly are absent.
    I remain on the other end and I stay on the line with you.
    I long to speak with clarity to you; desirous of penetrating your wounded heart and mind with the realities and truths of My word and character.
    I long to reach into your aching heart and heal your hurts.
    I know that only I am able.

    To the individual hurting, desperate, wounded and intoxicated with the lies of Satan:
    Talk to Jesus.
    He loves you, He’ll listen to you;
    He will remain on the line with you.
    Stay on the line with Him.

    The Lord hath appeared of old unto me saying,
    Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
    Jeremiah 31:3

    I’m covered and sealed,
    By the blood of the Lamb;
    I’m coming to Him,
    Just the way that I am.

    No mask, no pretending,
    Just blemished, unclean;
    I come to the Lamb,
    For in Him I’m redeemed.

    I’m pardoned, forgiven,
    With nothing concealed;
    Whatever I give Him,
    Is what will be healed.

    O perfect Redeemer,
    So holy and pure;
    Surrender to You,
    Is what makes me secure.

    Teach me to trust,
    And to lean on the Lamb;
    Believing there’s rest,
    When I come ….. as I am.

    “In Him we have redemption through His blood,
    the forgiveness of sins,
    according to the riches of His grace.”
    Ephesians 1:7

    Compass – A device for determining direction by means of a magnetic needle or group of needles turning freely on a pivot and pointing to the magnetic north.
    The word of God is a compass … pointing us true north to Jesus Christ.
    The Holy Spirit is the needle on the compass,
    The rudder on the ship,
    The wind behind the sail.
    He grants discernment to a seeking heart,
    Wisdom to the wondering,
    Grace to the hurting.
    He comforts,
    Never neglects …
    The child of God.
    He’s the great Discerner,
    The true needle,
    Residing within you,
    Abiding in you,
    Directing you to heaven’s doorway.
    He appropriates the word within you;
    Steadies you on the course marked out for you.
    He seals,
    The child of God.
    He’s the needle on the compass that leads you home.
    He’ll be with you … and you’ll never walk alone.

    “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
    John 14:16-17

    The wandering child of God must set himself straight by going directly to the throne room of grace and realigning his heart with the matters of God.
    He must remain in this place until his core is, once again, safe and secure.
    He must get alone, get quiet, and get settled in his quest for God and then move after Him with unquestioning abandon.
    And in this place the wandering child becomes the responsive child and all is well in his world again.
    This is a manifestation of the resurrection power at work in an individual’s life …
    This is the hope of Easter.

    "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, netther let it be afraid."
    John 14:27

    God has a vision for your life …
    It’s called holiness.

    “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written,
    ‘Be holy for I am holy.’”

    I don’t have the ability to …
    Do what’s right,
    Think what’s right,
    Be what’s right.

    I assume full responsibility
    For my inability,
    And I reach for that needed thing called …

    And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
    2 Corinthians 12:9

    I say farewell to yesterday,
    For yesterday is gone;
    I let her go deliberately,
    And choose to travel on.

    I understand, perhaps in part,
    What many never see;
    That yesterday’s a passageway,
    To where I need to be.

    For I’ve been preordained a path,
    That’s mine alone to trod;
    My lot has been apportioned by …
    The very hand of God.

    The boundaries are drawn for me,
    And all has been secured;
    When trials seem to overwhelm,
    Of this I am assured:

    That all is single-handedly,
    Determined for my good;
    If God has chosen “it” for me;
    I’ll praise Him as I should.

    Eternally advancing,
    In an orchestrated grace;
    Sufficient for arriving,
    At a predetermined place.

    I welcome in this passageway,
    That’s been ordained for me;
    For God, alone, knows what I need,
    For where I am to be.

    “The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup;
    Thou maintainest my lot.
    The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places;
    Yea, I have a goodly heritage.”
    Psalm 16:5-6
